Privacy

People arrive here from a search they would rather nobody saw. That is the whole reason this page is specific instead of reassuring.

There is nothing to sign up for

This site has no accounts, no login, and no form of any kind. There is nothing to submit, so there is nothing for the site to store about you. You cannot tell it anything even if you want to, and that is on purpose.

No cookies, and no banner either

The site sets no cookies. It stores nothing in your browser — no local storage, no session storage, nothing that survives the tab closing.

That is also why there is no consent pop-up. Consent walls exist because sites track people, and putting one here would mean building the tracking first. A box asking a distressed reader to agree to something would be an odd way to respect them.

Every file on this page comes from this domain

The page loads no fonts from Google. No ad scripts, no video players, no share buttons. Nothing embedded, nothing borrowed. Your browser talks to this domain and to nothing else, and the site is served with a rule telling your browser to refuse anything that is not.

That claim is about what the page loads. Getting the page to you at all is a different question, and the honest answer to it is below.

Cloudflare is in the path

This site is served through Cloudflare, which sees your IP address. This site keeps no IP addresses of its own.

That is worth saying plainly rather than claiming an absolute that is not true. Cloudflare sits between your browser and the machine holding these files. It ends the encrypted connection, so it handles the request before this site does. What it keeps is Cloudflare's to decide, not this page's. It is there because it hides where the site is hosted, which is part of how the author stays anonymous.

The server keeps no address

The machine serving these files writes an access log, and that log is stripped before anything is written to it. Out goes the address the request came from, along with the port, the browser string, and the page you came from. Out go the headers Cloudflare adds that carry your real address. What is left is which file was asked for and what the answer was.

What gets counted

Two kinds of number, and both are totals: how many times a page was opened, and how many times the Doctor Brief was downloaded. Nothing else is collected. There is no visitor identifier and nothing that follows you between sites. No record is kept of what any one person read.

Anything doing the counting is served from this domain, so no outside company is asked to count for it. If a number cannot be gathered without identifying you, it is not gathered.

What this page cannot promise

Your own network still knows you came here. An employer, a school, or whoever provides the connection can see the domain you asked for. None of that is under this site's control. Nothing on this page changes what your own device or your own network records.
